On School Playgrounds

School playground maintenance and replacement should be included in the CCPS capital budget. When county or state park playgrounds need replaced, we don't ask local residents to raise funds ... and we shouldn't ask local PTAs to fund school playgrounds either.

Battaglia, Miller, & Whisler (BMW) will work with local PTAs and state and local legislators to secure additional funds through state bond initiatives. We'll also ensure these needs are included in future CCPS capital budget forecasts so PTAs can focus on teachers and kids in the classroom ... not on playgrounds or other school infrastructure needs.
